Drummer, composer, and Zen monk Barrett Martin has has been using his musical and storytelling platforms to amplify voices of marginalized musicians around the world.  Barrett has played with REM, the Screaming Trees, has recorded Music from the Shipibo Shamans of Peru, the Gwich'in tribes in Alaska, and produced albums with American blues and jazz legends of the Mississippi Delta.  His Zen approach to his work and life is all about the art of being a clear, strong, and effective advocate for social and environmental justice.
