Have you wanted to start a meditation practice but feel overwhelmed and can’t figure out a way to start? Are you already meditating but can’t find the motivation to have a deeper practice?
There is a secret reason that may be blocking you: If you plan to use meditation as a weapon against yourself, you won’t want to do it!
We can instead practice meditation as a tool to generate kindness and compassion towards ourselves. We don’t use meditation to change, resist, grade, or self judge. Instead we invite ourselves to reflect within a state of gentle, open awareness. A meditative approach that is very direct, but playful. Meditation will finally become that thing you want to do!
Monday, November 5th, from 700-830 pm at Spring Place (6 St. John’s Lane, just south of Canal). $20 fee, free for members of Spring Place. Please reserve a space with me (non members) or at Spring Place (members).
